    Our Oil Mist Filters are designed to filter unwanted mist, grit and smoke from your machining centers. Our vertical configuration, use of an impinger, a well designed oil mist eliminator, fiberglass media filtration, and HEPA final filter option makes the system very efficient for both oil mist and smoke particles. The models are available in four standard sizes, with CFM ranges from 500 CFM to 8,000 CFM. The direct drive high efficiency backward inclined blowers provide low cost service, help extend filter service life and keep the motor out of the air stream. We can help you control the mist and smoke from oil based, water based and synthetic coolants.

    Short Description

    Our OM36V Series Oil Mist eliminator is available in polyethylene plastic or powder coated carbon steel, both with a rugged 16 gauge steel frame. The poly panels have become the most popular feature in Industrial Maid’s line of air filtration systems. Customers recognize the value of a design that allows for lower initial cost, is non-corrosive and dent and scratch resistant, runs quieter and is environmentally friendly. Three stages of oil mist filters produce a 99% efficiency rating on most installations by eliminating airborne particles and allowing for the recirculation of filtered air.

    When it is time to replace the filters, it is equally important to note that our equipment specifications intentionally include standard size filters making them less expensive and easier to order. For maximum efficiency and effectiveness we only use high efficiency filters, from HEPA and absorber modules to mini-pleats.

    The OM36V comes in four standard sizes, but the engineers at Industrial Maid pride themselves on the reputation they have built for designing oil mist collector systems for those customers with unique challenges such as limited floor space, difficulty with access, extremely heavy oil or coolant mist production and many more.

    A Variety of Options Means a Variety of Ways to Capture Oil Mist

    The motor on an Industrial Maid oil mist eliminator can be direct or belt drive with a forward curved or high pressure composite blower allowing for air flow ranges from 1,000 to 8,000 CFM. A backward inclined direct drive fan is also available for ducted or high-static applications.

    The OM36V represents the latest technology in the collection of hazardous oil mist created by machinery fluid. The bluish-white smoke that is created by many processes is made up of oil droplets that range in size from 10µm down to 0.03µm. During the first of three filtration stages, air contaminated with coolant mist is pulled through 2" filters know as "impingers". It is here that the largest oil mist and coolant mist particles are captured and eliminated from the air. At the second stage, a 2" high efficiency filter called a "mist eliminator" (ME) handles remaining sub-micron oil mist droplets. The third and final stage features an 95% efficiency, Merv 15 primary filter. Optional HEPA after-filters and refillable carbon V-bank modules are available for applications that require additional filtration.

    The unit can be mounted on a 24" heavy duty stand, brackets or hung from eyebolts if space is a concern.

    Oil Mist doesn’t have to Pose a Health Hazard to Workers

    As health concerns regarding oil mist grow so does the number of terms people in the industry use to describe the equipment used to collect or eliminate it. When you hear or read about mist separators, mist collectors, coolant mist collectors, oil mist collectors, oil mist eliminators, coolant mist eliminators or other combinations of these terms, they are all referring to the same general category of air filtration equipment.

    The OM36V Series Oil Mist Collector is specifically designed to work at the source to collect and remove coolant mist, oil mist, accompanying smoke and sub-micron particles that become airborne. Advanced technology in CNC machines has created increased productivity which in turn has increased the need for improved lubricating oils to deal with faster spindle speeds and overall capacity of the machining tools found in most plants today. The potential for serious health risks when workers inhale these metalworking fluids has lead to increased warnings by OSHA that employers must take serious steps to capture oil mist in the work environment. Several factors such as the type of coolant mist that is released into the ambient air, the amount or level of contamination and the length of exposure must be considered carefully when selecting the coolant mist eliminator that is right for each application.

    A large manufacturing plant in the Midwest uses an OM36Vx4 Series industrial air cleaner to improve air quality for employees involved in injection moulding processes. This particular unit features a high pressure direct drive blower and a Delta variable frequency drive for manual adjustment of airflow and energy saving benefits.

    A large M36 3 X 2 Series vertical ducted industrial air cleaner used on a sensitive misting application for General Dynamics. A three stage filtration design was implemented featuring 99.97% HEPA final filters. The outdoor installation called for a weather hood and a drip track above the door seals. The M Series ducted air cleaners are available in ranges of 1,000 to 15,000 CFM.

    Oil Mist Filters don’t have to be Expensive or Hard to Find
